Description | The paper deals with the conceptualizatian of Bosnia and Bosnian Muslims in the Croatian national-integrational ideology of Illyrism (1835-1848). Their perception was deeply influenced by the dominant anti-Turkish sentiment present in the contemporary literature and press. However, Bosnian Muslims were simultaneously conceived as an integral part of the Illyrian (South Slavonic) nation. The author traces the interplay between these two components of the Illyrian ideology with regards to Bosnian Muslims. |
