Description The teacher is one of the key factors in the educational process. With the development of humanity, the profession of teaching has been linked from the very beginning and the concepts of it are changing historically. The purpose of empirical survey was to find out what parental expectations should be met by the teacher of their child and which professional, personality, and skills are considered to be the most important. The examined sample consisted of the mothers of preschool and younger school age children. I chose a semi-structured interview. I used a dictaphone for recording the conversation. Subsequently the recordings were transcribed, the data analyzed and evaluated. The research study was realized as a part of the pilot research of my dissertation thesis. The contribution contains a review of realized researches dealing with the chosen issue, orderly arranged tables with the research findings, my own interpretations of the recieved data.
