Description	This contribution deals with the European Union's cohesion policy. The aim of the presentation is to confirm the hypothesis that this policy serves as an important investment tool of EU public finance. By using statistical data regarding GDP, the presentation focuses on regional disparities in the EU and the Czech Republic.
