Keywords Jean Cocteau; 20th century literature; theater; poetry
Description Our text will focus on short plays, monologues, songs of Pocket Theater; we will try to answer the following questions: how and why does the author play with the unusual of all these short texts? What are the relations between the narrative expressed by the written words and the monopolized words, mastered by the actors? What effects, scenery, costumes should complete the monologues of Jean Cocteau to realize them in a filmed or scenic show or also in radio broadcast? In what sense can the realization by a director, an actor, a scenographer make the text of Cocteau more intense, more poetic or more suggestive? Is it necessary? If so, why and what are the results?
