| Description | The collective monograph Space in Architecture and the Brno School of art history presents five theses by Czech art historians representing various methodical approaches to the research of this topic in the contemporary theory of architecture. The publication notes the concept of space in the works of selected world's leading architects - Leopold Bauer, Ludwig Miese van der Rohe, Alvar Aalto, and Rick Joy. It also reflects the way in which space in architecture has been explored in the history of art and architecture from the end of the 19th century to the present. Special attention is dedicated to the teaching of architectural space at the Brno Seminar of art history. |
