Description In this contribution, preliminary results of a corpus-based study conducted among Czech students of English as a foreign language were presented. The main focus of the study was to analyse aspects of oral and written performance, and assess how advanced learners´ language can be influenced by a focused intervention aimed at increasing accuracy. The data collected from written and spoken production were marked for errors, error-tagged and used to compile a corpus of learner data. In this paper, the preliminary results and some pedagogical implications emerging from the analysis will be outlined.
