| Description | This study deals with a neglected, and at the same time unique phenomenon: the interior wall-painting representing the so called Delft ceramic tiles. The research is based on eight interiors in seven castles from the eighteenth century. The connection between Delft tiles and the chinoiseries-fashion is studied, since most of the material available represents – to a certain degree at least – Chinese topics. |
