| Description | The contribution describes the language and style of Czech populism by analyzing public performances by the Czech SPD party chairman Tomio Okamura. The material is based on the chairman's short public videos in which he comments on various aspects of political and public life. The presentation identifies some of the key discursive elements of populist style, e.g. as regards the negative construction of otherness and articulating the US v. THEM dichotomy. |
