Description | New radiocarbon dates from graves dated on the End of Early Bronze Age and begin of Middle Bronze Age stay in the attention of this paper. The samples were taken from human remains of well-dated graves in Branišovice, Hradisko u Kroměříže and Smolín (Stuchlík 2006, 2009). The choice was significantly limited by the availability of the skeletal material of the key graves. We will compare new radiocarbon data with similar previously known data from Moravia and other surrounding regions. The grave assemblages are purposefully composed as in their initial form and also in archaeological evidence. They do not reflect the everyday life, which rather mirror settlements. The grave assemblages may therefore differ in the archaeological picture from the settlement component. With this difference in mind, we will try to include these units in current research data on the End of Early Bronze Age and begin of Middle Bronze Age. |
