Description | Fortifications have responded to the need to use firearms since the mid-15th century. actively using roundels - walled in the Mediterranean, overflowed in the Carpathians and most opented. After 1500, pentagonal bastions appeared, which displaced the roundels, because they were able to form into systems and replaced them until fort fort. The creation of bastions was developed by Italians. |
