Description The study deals with the successful Czechoslovak tour of the vocal choir Ukrainian Republic Band which was established in 1919 as an official representative of the Ukrainian People's Republic. This tour was organized from May to July in 1919 and it was the first stop on a long European tour of the choir which was meant as a complement to the classical diplomatic mission of the independent Ukrainian state. The study contains quotations from period reviews in the Czechoslovak press and also deals in more detail with the development of the relationship that Czech musicologist Zdeněk Nejedlý had to the Ukrainian issue.
