Description | One of the rarely questioned assumptions in morphology is that a special allomorph of a particular marker can be triggered by features in its immediate vicinity (= contextual allomorphy). This paper analyzes the Latin 3rd declension and shows that it is possible (and desirable) to abandon this assumption. |
