| Description | The workshop was dedicated to annotating and note taking in paper and electronic texts, and the impact of annotating and note taking on learning efficiency as well as scientific activity. During the workshop, we introduced annotation techniques suitable for working with paper text and explored specialized electronic annotation tools. Subsequently, we presented the results of our research of scientists' annotation practices and tested a new format of the electronic book, which was created as a result taking into account the findings of the research and allowing to create notes directly in the web environment. While working with the tool, user experiences and user feedbacks on the new tool were collected. In the end, we focused on futurological visions of annotation forms on the web. |
