| Description | In the Slovak National Library 97 medieval manuscript fragments were found during the research in the collection of prints from 16th century from the Franciscan libraries. Fragments persevered as covers of the books. Main part of monograph consists of catalogue of fragments. There are also short studies about palaeographical and codicological aspects of collection and they reflect possibilities of determining an origin of manuscripts and of a reconstruction of bookbinding work. Each fragment is described in detail. There are information about page lay-out, used script, age of manuscript and its content. Every fragment is documented with a photography. Manuscripts were written during period from the second half of 12th century to the beginning of 16th century. Liturgical book dominates but theological, homiletic and legal texts also persevered. |
