| Description | The book lists the main active substances of the cannabis plant with medical potential, it deals with their pharmacokinetics and mechanisms of action. It focuses on possible therapeutically benefi cial eff ects of cannabinoids in the treatment of both non-cancer and cancer pain, spasticity and vomitus. One chapter describes legal conditions of medical cannabis use and their brief history. The book comprises overview of drug dosage forms which can be produced within the frame of medical cannabis use and it moreover brings practical advices how cannabis can be prescribed (including examples of prescriptions). Finally, the book briefl y summarizes possibilities of cannabis and cannabinoids use in veterinary medicine. |
