Description | The present contribution follows these aims: (1) To summarize all the relevant data. (2) To distinguish between archaisms and innovations in the individual pronominal systems. (3) To identify the main tendencies in the development of the pronominal system of Afroasiatic. (4) To reconstruct the partial pronominal protosystems in individual branches, based on their subbranches or lower-order groups. (5) To carry out a mutual comparison of the partial pronominal protosystem, which will lead to the gradual reconstruction of the Afroasiatic pronominal protosystem. (6) To analyze from a structural and typological perspective the reconstructed pronominal protosystems, identifying the role of suppletion across various levels of the development of pronominal systems. |
