| Description | The study shows in detail the process of designing and realizing the chateau of the Bishop of Olomouc, Karl von Lichtenstein-Castelcorno (1624-1695) in Kroměříž. While in the first phase the residential chateau was repaired in 1664-1668, later in 1687-1698 it was substantially rebuilt. The study focuses on the gradual search for the artistic task (charge and brief) of a residential building, based on sources shows the process from creating an architectural theme to the spatial solution of the residence in the work of architect Giovanni Pietro Tencalla and points to the apparent change of bishop's taste through new ideas of Salzburg stonemasons and through new “bel composto”, ie. architecture, sculpture and painting into a new visual whole. |
