Description "Two semi-moral, semi-noetic themes are main topic in my work: The first is Pilate's negative: What is the truth? The second is positive. Everyone is right. ”(I must continue, p. 415). More than ten years later, the last part of Talks with TGM is published and “Pilat s question" is one of the key topics. Masaryk formulates the definition of truth: "truth is what we know safely and critically, what is conscious reality" (Talks with TGM, p. 132). The aim of the paper is to introduce the concept of truth of Masaryk and Čapek with regard to their inspirations and differences and, in the end, to "translate" both concepts of truth into the language of standard epistemology.
