| Description | The author of the present article devoted to prof. Ivan Dorovský’s jubilee characterizes his scholarly activity of a slavist and a literary comparatist, especially his contribution to methodology and history of Slavonic literatures and comparative studies, predominantly in the sense of the exploration of the Balkan area, the area of the Mediterranean and the concretization of he method and terminology of the so-called Ďurišin’s team the honoured person was not only a member of, but, above all, its inspirer. The author observed the roots of his work already in his juvenilia on Pushkin’s poem Liberty (Voĺnosť) which – to a certain extent – anticipated the whole range of his future scholarly aktivity. |
