Description Within the aerial prospection carried out in the territory of South Moravia in the early 1990s, linear crop marks had been identified in the place of several deserted medieval villages, and were interpreted as an outer enclosure in the form of a several metres wide moat. In the course of the study of historical maps and the latest satellite and vertical aerial photography images, the same type of enclosures was identified with other deserted medieval villages, which significantly increased the number of these sites in the observed region.
