Description The archeological sites at Úhřetice in the Chrudim district are among the longest-established research locations in East Bohemia. Archeologists first took an active interest in these sites during the second half of the 19th century and around the turn of the 20th century. The aim of this material study is to present, date and interpret finds from the Roman period. We consider it of key importance to situate these finds within the broader context of the Roman era in East Bohemia. The presence of Roman imports in this area also raises questions concerning Roman-Barbarian relations. The wide spectrum of finds makes it possible to partially reconstruct the chronology of Roman settlement in the area.
