| Description | The publication brings 13 short essay texts of leading German-language intellectuals on current topics of nationwide debates, and suggests many activities intended primarily for university students, or for other advanced students of German (at C1 level). The texts focus on topics such as the possibilities of further existence of contemporary European democracies, the practice of cultural memory in those countries or new understandings of the concept of feminism in German-language public debate. Suggested activities at the level of content, as well as at the level of language and formulation encourage accurate understanding of the texts, but for the pre-reading and post-reading phases they also suggest many ways to reveal the contexts of the analyzed texts through research, discussions, written and presentation activities. |
