Description The conference paper examines how certain agents in the cinema of small nation responded to the allegedly adverse film propaganda from bigger and stronger film industries in the domestic market. It shows how they deliberately created a specific image of the character of Saint Wenceslas as a great statesman whose life story is of European significance and what particular choices they made to elicit the demanded image.
