Description | This contribution aims to present the personality of Nikolai Ryzhkov as depicted in memoirs by his daughter Ariadna Ryzhkova-Novikova. The memoirs were being written throughout several years, recording Ryzhkov's life at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. The records describe his childhood, youth, beginnings of his priesthood as well as his arrest and the following trial when he was charged with leading activities against the Austrian-Hungarian Empire and with spreading Pan-Slavic propaganda among Czechs. |
