Description | The exhibition provides an overview of the La Tene period (5th-1st century BC), which is traditionally associated with the Celts. At this time, coins, glass bracelets and ceramic vessels made on a potter's wheel first appeared in the region below Pálava. How was the dead buried during the La Tene period? What did a typical house look like? What weapons did the warriors of that time used in combat? From where were the goods imported to South Moravia? And did the "genuine Celts" really live around Pavlov Hills? The exhibition was realized in the Regional Museum in Mikulov in cooperation with the Moravian Museum and the Archaeological Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Brno, v. v. i. |
