| Description | Early modern series of planetary gods reflect changes in percepcion of cosmological and astrological symbolics. While most of the 16th century series of planets resemble popular planetary booklets, from 17th century onwards depictions of planetary gods start to reflect astronomical observations. The lecture focused on depictions of planet Venus and its cosmological role within Bohemian and Moravian early modern art. |
