Description The Covid19 pandemic has brought a lot of changes to people's lives, and also to the management of individual historical monuments. The aim of this paper is to identify effects of Covid19 pandemic on the daily working of two castles in the South Moravian Region (Lysice State Castle and Rájec nad Svitavou State Castle) and how it affected occupational safety and personnel management, monument security, cultural events, partnerships, marketing, and financial management. Qualitative research is based on interviews with castles’ wardens. The results show that due to the measures and the development of the situation, the pandemic meant above all higher demands on the management of the castles, especially in connection with the organization of cultural events, repairs and staffing. As an important part of management can also be considered the effort to remain in the awareness of the visitors and the associated more intensive use of social networks and a general focus on online tools.
