| Description | The presentation examined the features of the functioning of transformed precedent units and phraseological units, which are artifacts of human culture, in Russian and Czech media discourses. It can be argued that it is the expressive potential of these linguistic units in media discourse that is created through transformations. Therefore, attention was focused not only on the use of various types of transformations of such units in media discourse, but also on their special expressiveness and specific ways of creative use. Due to the fact that the issue of a clear distinction between such linguistic phenomena as metaphoricity and precedent in linguistics is still controversial, it is also interesting to consider the reasons for the inclusion or non-inclusion of phraseological units by linguists in the area of precedence. |
