Description During the period of distance learning, the form of assessment of acquired knowledge and competencies in language teaching changed. Testing of medical terminology, which we approach as an LSP course with certain specifics, is limited to basic Latin grammar and Greek-Latin vocabulary, and therefore the transition to an online form of testing did not seem to be difficult. One of the main problems turned out to be ensuring the validity of the tests. The paper summarizes in several points the means by which the team of teachers of medical terminology at the MU Language Center tried to deal with this challenge, and in general considers the pros and cons of online testing.
