Description The methods of documentary representation and conceptual discourse in nonfiction narratives lead to the question in which way are the Holocaust documentaries from Norway maintaining historical awareness, reflecting critical treatment, communicating and contextualizing the innovative research outcomes in books and studies published in the period after 1990. I focuse on the genre perspective realized by Jakob Lothe, case studies by Hilde Vesaas, Frode Saland and others, especially according to their perspective role in the memory culture. The transformation of 1990 can be understood as turning point also in writing and reflecting Holocaust, causing both a psychological distance and free access to the sources in East and West.
