Description | This research focused on the possibility of using telehealth practices in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA). The target group was caregivers of children with neurodevelopmental disorders. The aim of the project was to develop and empirically verify an e-learning system for caregivers, focused on using telepractice to educating them on behavioral methods and procedures. The research sample was divided into three groups. Two groups completed the e-learning course independently and asynchronously. One group had online meetings with an ABA specialist in addition to the independent work. This was the first phase of research; in an upcoming phase carers will further deepen their knowledge and develop their competences in ABA through telehealth coaching. The results from the first phase demonstrated the effectiveness of telepractice in content knowledge increases of selected ABA techniques and procedures. |
