| Description | The paper presents teaching methods aimed at supporting the use of literary texts in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language (ELE), especially at secondary schools and bilingual grammar schools in the Czech Republic. Attention is focused primarily on the effective development of students' reading competencies in Spanish. Emphasis is also placed on interactive elements that can be introduced when working with literary texts, in order to make use of their great potential to motivate students to further develop both their receptive and their productive language competencies. |
