| Description | In October 2021, mysterious Greek inscriptions started to appear on numerous public buildings in the city of Brno, which displayed marked similarities with in both contents and visual style with the Late Antique protective amulets attested primarily from the Syropalestinian region. The author provided a critical edition of these newly discovered Greek texts and interpreted several important monuments of the Moravian metropolis in the light of the Mediterranean apotropaic magical tradition. |
