| Description | For the exhibition as an educational tool on the topic of epidemics, a basic terminological insight into contemporary and historical demography is necessary. Epidemics significantly affect the natural increase in place and time and, in the event of the occurrence of more significant epidemics, other demographic indicators. The aim of this paper is to summarize both the basic indicators of the impact of epidemics on population development and the source basis for the study of historical demography. The contribution presents specific impacts on the population as a whole in the most significant epidemics / pandemics on a global scale especially during the 20th century. |
