Description The principle of equal (justice) educational opportunities is a fundamental principle of educational policy, but the view of those who experience the impacts of individual measures is seldom empirically mapped. The paper aims to show how repeatedly unsuccessful graduates perceive justice in graduating from high school. Based on narrative interviews with those who failed the national part of the graduation exam [matura] at least twice, our research showed that re- spondents from vocational education consider the state part of the matura exam unfair due to insufficient preparation for solving some tasks assigned in the didactic tests.
