Citation
Description Recently, we have synthesized novel series of N-phenylhydroxynaphthalene carboxamides possessing promising antimicrobial activities. Introduction of alkylcarbamate moiety lead to enhancement of physical-chemical properties (especially of solubility) and the biological activity was preserved. Series of 13 novel compounds was synthesized and evaluated for antimicrobial activity. Preliminary results showed that all compounds have comparable or much better MIC than standards ciprofloxacin and ampicillin. Best compounds showed MIC in a range of few nM.
