| Description | In this paper, in order to determine the distribution of selected proportional quantifiers in Polish, I have conducted a corpus study based on the National Corpus of Polish. I have examined syntactic environments and collocations of eight lexical items expressing the concepts `part', `quarter', `half' and `most'. I argue that different distributions and semantic properties of the examined expressions stem from the combination of degree-semantic and mereotopological factors. |
