Description | For many, the Brno D’Epog Theater is one of the highlights of contemporary domestic experimental work. The basic characteristics of D’Epog's productions are independence from dramatic text and innovative use of non-theatrical spaces; at the same time, the work of this theater defies unambiguous audience interpretation. The current productions of D’Epog will be viewed in the lecture through the philosophical concepts of the French poststructuralist Gilles Deleuze. The aim is to look for moments when metaphysics transcends the boundaries of theatrical theory and opens up the possibility of looking at contemporary theatrical experiment not through hermeneutic interpretation, but through an understanding of the processes and functioning of a work of art. |
