Description | The paper presents a narrative analysis of the perception of failure in the graduation exam [matura] identified in graduates’ life stories. Retrospective in- terviews with informants (n?=?26), who failed the graduation exam at least twice in 2018 and 2019, were conducted in autumn 2020. The results contribute to the broader discussion on forced early school leaving (push-out), and in the Czech context, they contribute to current research on perceived academic futility in pupils and teachers’ beliefs of high school students. |
