Description | This paper deals with selected psychological aspects of work and health in a permanent home office regime in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The main aim of this study was to determine whether the currently experienced level of work-life balance, work engagement and subjectively perceived health differs compared to the period before the pandemic and what reasons caused a possible change. The research involved 123 respondents aged 20 - 44 working in an international corporation. Key findings include that the groups perceiving negative and positive change were very balanced in their assessment of work-life balance (41,5 % vs. 39,8 %). In work engagement, more than half of the respondents (56,1 %) perceived no change, e.g. due to participation in various projects. A larger proportion of respondents (40,6 %) rate their current health as worse than before the pandemic, with social isolation being one of the most burdensome factors for respondents in terms of subjectively perceived health. |
