Description | The presentation focuses on the development of the professional vision of pre-service German teachers using the video-based online learning platform DaF-VideoWeb. In the theoretical part, we introduced the concept of the professional vision. In the empirical part, we followed this research questions: (1) How do the comments of the students differ in terms of content before and after the DaF-VideoWeb? (2) What is the difference in the content of the student comments for unguided and guided instruction in the DaF-VideoWeb? In order to be able to answer the research questions, the following steps in the analysis were carried out: In the first step, the comments of the students are divided into the analytical idea units and in the second step we coded them according to the pre-defined categorical system. The results show that at the end of the DaF-VideoWeb, the students tend to give shorter and more conclusive comments. Some changes could be found in the addressed contents, which indicates the development of the selective attention of the students. |
