| Description | Lenka Vítková's book offers a fragmentary story behind combinations of images and texts, which may or may not be read as emblems. It includes a selection of paintings by Lenka Vítková from 2015 to 2021 and texts from a slightly shorter period. The possibility that what we read refers elsewhere is constantly present in poetry. The ability to project words on the edges of abstract and less abstract paintings is an unforgettable part of painting. The first book of emblems knows that it is not the first book of emblems, but it is the first book of its author. The connection of images and texts is enhanced by the conceptual graphic design of Linda & Daniela Dostálková and Sonni Scheuringer. The texts are in Czech and English. |
