Description The lecture focused on dogs in England and France in the 18th century - how they were perceived by the society of the time and how people's relationship to animals was reflected in art. Attention was paid in particular to portraits, both hunting and representational, as well as those of dogs. Eroticised scenes also formed a significant part of the lecture.
