| Description | The lecture is devoted to the first conflicts and cooperation between the Germans and the Roman empire. It focuses on the causes of the growing danger that the Germans represented for Romans and firstly on the beginnings of the Middle Ages inside of the empire -- so as the decline of the cities, the situation of the citizens, especially coloni, on the new hierarchy between the rich and poor citizens and on the problems of integration of the barbarians. It brings the evidence, that the Middle ages are beginning before the Germans created their kingdoms on the territory of the West Roman Empire. |
