| Description | The methodological basis of my dissertation is intermedial studies, and its subject is various media processing of canonical elements of Czech culture. I am interested in how both media genres and processes, as well as the contemporary context, are reflected in artistic representations. From the currently developed analysis of various transmediations of Erben's Kytice, I choose the ballad Vodník, its film and comic form and mutual intermedial and intertextual relationships as an illustrative example for my contribution. Analyzes of media treatment of canonical substances should also bring an evaluation of their potential for school teaching. |
