| Description | The author of the present chapter from the book deals with the contribution of Drahomír Šajtar (1922-2009), literary historian and critic, to the Czech and international literary criticism. He accentuates especially his orientation on regional Silesian literature and his connection with the methodology of his Prague lecturer Václav Černý and the Czech studies from Olomouc where he completed his study, his activity as a literary critic and editor, the subject of Petr Bezruč and his analysis of the work of Anna Akhmatova and the Russian so-called South-Western literary school headed by his monograph on Eduard Bagritsky. The author of the chapter characterizes his methodology as morphological-psychological. |
