Description | The paper examined how apocalyptic thinking can be documented in the writings (synodal sermons and treatises) and life of Milíč of Kroměříž and Jan Hus (sermons and correspondence). It was shown that the apocalypticism of Milíč was based on the expectation of the end and the calculation of the date of the coming of the Antichrist, whereas the apocalypticism of Hus consisted mainly in his role as a martyr and second prophet Elijah, i.e., essentially the role attributed to him also by his supporters after his death. |
