| Description | On 22 October 2022, the Vatican extended the provisional agreement between the Holy See and the Chinese government for the second time.The first time the agreement was signed in 2018 for a period of two years, and it was subsequently extended in 2020. The signing of the provisional agreement was a historic moment when the Holy See and the government of the People's Republic of China (PRC) signed a mutual agreement for the first time.
