Description Language advising as a specific form of interaction between a student and a teacher is a pedagogic tool often introduced to support students in their autonomous learning. This presentations shows how a student of natural sciences experienced a series of advising sessions when participating at the English Autonomously course at Masaryk University. The data collected about their learning journey have been analysed using qualitative methods and their interpretation offers an insight into the nature of (not only) this student´s autonomy.
