| Description | The chapter deals with the activities of the Olga partisan unit in the vicinity of the village of Heršpice, located near Slavkov u Brna. Attention is paid to the formation of this unit in January 1945 and its first armed clash with members of the Nazi security apparatus at the Zlatý Jelen grove on 6 February of the same year. The author also deals with the extent of the resistance activities of the Olga unit, culminating in the capture of the commander of the German 16th Panzer Division, Major General Dietrich von Müller, on 19 April 1945 in Hoštice. The controversial activities of the commander of the Olga unit, Josef Houfek, which resulted in many casualties, did not remain unnoticed. |
